Goodbye Summer. Hello Fall.

This past Summer I had the opportunity to work with the University of Florida’s New Student and Family Programs department. This was my second year working with the orientation program, and it was another amazing summer filled with incoming students and families. My role was working with family programming and helping family members in their transition to college. One of my favorite memories from this summer was receiving an email from a family member thanking me for helping them.

My own family came to visit me as I helped the incoming families.

The Gator Nation is unlike any other –  it’s more than a campus, it’s a state of mind. Every Gator looks out for one another, and we make sure that no one is left behind. Whether that’s saying hello to a stranger or linking arms at a Gator football game, we’re all connected. As I reflect on my time here at UF, I can’t help but feel bittersweet with my senior year beginning on Monday. I’m sad to begin my last undergrad fall semester, but excited to see what adventures are in store!
