My obsession with Pinterest is well known among my family and friends.When I’m in need of answers, I usually call my dad first – if he doesn’t answer, then I consult Pinterest.
I recently stumbled upon a Pin on Friendship Dates, and it made me realize how important it is to dedicate time to friendships. While it’s easy to have friends, it’s sometimes harder to maintain friendships.
My recent Girl’s Date was when my sweet Paulette and I crafted for hours at the J. Wayne Reitz Union Arts & Craft Center. The center was the perfect spot on a Saturday morning to spend time together and decorate beautiful pottery.
The pottery was relatively affordable to decorate and the staff was helpful without being intrusive. Over painting, Paulette and I got the chance to catch up on life. Of course, we might have consulted Pinterest for ideas…but that’s beside the point.
I’m always thankful for the opportunity to slow down in life and appreciate the ones I love. To me, that’s what the South is all about.
