Until recently, I was never much of a wine drinker. Call it a lack of knowledge or lack of taste, but I just could not get into it. I always found it a daunting task to try and find the perfect one. There were just too many factors to consider. Do I go with a red, white or rosé? Do I need a bubbly, dry, sweet or moscato? Gah, just thinking about it gives me a headache.
Luckily, little brother started working at a Total Wine and he’s come back with some total winners (see what I did there). They have excellent wine consultants to help with making a selection. I wanted to find wines that didn’t have a bitter, alcohol aftertaste. There was also a tasting area so that you could try without buying the whole bottle. Below are the ones that I’m currently loving:
Marchese dell’Elsa Moscato Pink // if you’re looking for a fresh, bubbly pink, then this one is for you!
Il Duca Stella Rosa Imperiale // this semi-sweet did not disappoint – it’s smooth and has a strawberry flavor too
San Antonío Imperial Red // a sweet red that paired beautifully with our cheeseboard and fruit
ReLusso Rosso Frizzante // another semi-sweet berry red wine that has a sparkling element that makes it so refreshing
I had these at this year’s Galentine’s Day party, and they were the perfect addition for a celebration…. or a night in. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on these for so long.
