seer·suck·er – noun. thin, puckered, all-cotton fabric, typically striped. PERFECT for summer + spring
Seersucker is an essential staple for any southerner to have in their closet. For me, it’s the perfect material for a breezy, spring day or a hot, summer one! The material is so versatile for the Florida weather, which makes it ideal for me.
One company that has gorgeous seersucker outfits is Lauren James. I discovered the brand thanks to a sweet friend, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I revisit their site every few seasons when I’m in need of a new outfit.
Here are a few of my favorites:
The Seersucker Bow Shorts are absolutely perfect for summer! I recently styled these for a festival, and received so many compliments. The best part is that you can really match them with anything. They’ll be perfect for Gator football games this fall.
How adorable is this seersucker swimsuit?! A suit that has seersucker, a bow and ruffles is the one for me. Although I love living in Gainesville full time, the summer always has me wishing for more days back home in Fort Pierce. Now I need to plan trips for some quality beach time.
And you can’t go wrong with a seersucker dress! I love to style the dresses with a pair of chunky wedges and classic pearls. The dresses featured here are the Livingston (blue) and the Stratton (coral).
I couldn’t possibly pass up National Seersucker Day without sharing some of my favorites. If you have a favorite company or seersucker style, I’d love to hear more!
