Earlier this month, I talked about all the things I was looking forward to. From birthday and wedding celebrations to an Orlando getaway, it’s safe to say that January exceeded my expectations.
In case you’re curious, we did end up taking that trip to Orlando for a birthday celebration. We went with our dear, family friends for a weekend getaway. The day started out at SeaWorld and ended down at Disney Springs.
I’ll be the first one to acknowledge that SeaWorld has done some shady things in the past, but it’s always been a theme park that’s eyeopening and educational for us. Plus, if you’re an educator, your ticket is free! (I mean, who doesn’t love free tickets) They also provide additional rewards for season ticket holders. For the month of January, ticket holders could bring additional guests for free. (Thanks Aunt Dinah + Uncle Todd!!)
Since our family grew up near the beach, we love to learn about marine life and all the sea critters. One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to see the rehabilitated manatees and sweet penguins! I mean how cute are those little guys?!
I’ve talked about Disney Springs before + my love for all the shops, dining and entertainment. After spending the entire day at SeaWorld, we were looking forward to a night out.
In between birthday celebrations, we also celebrated the marriage of my childhood friend Miriah to her sweet Danny.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful – from the ceremony to the reception, so filled with love. It was one of those weddings where everyone shares stories of the happy couple + you know you’re witnessing real love that’s going to last.

We had the absolute best time celebrating our girl! Every part of the wedding had a touch from friends + family, which makes it even more special.
And of course, I couldn’t resist in taking photos with my favorite people!
I also couldn’t resist taking a little photoshoot in the barn… (thanks Kev!).
January, plain + simple, you were amazing. Now I can’t wait to see what February has in store.
