I’m a few days late on sharing my hopes for the new year, but to be honest, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted. There’s always this sense of urgency I put on getting everything ready for January 1st.
I guess this year I decided to carry on a practice from 2018 – procrastination. So here I am, a few days late, but feeling more confident about what 2019 has in store. I completely believe in the power of thought; if you imagine it, think it, believe in it – it’s going to happen.
Here’s some of my hopes/thoughts/beliefs for the upcoming year:
Photography
Kevin and I started a tradition in 2017 to have a Lowe Sibling trip every year. On the 2017 trip, we visited Thomasville, GA and it was ah-mazing. In 2018, we traveled to Tampa for a Lightning Hockey game.
The sad thing is – I completely forgot my camera to take pictures. I snapped a few iPhone photos, but it just didn’t feel the same.
I’m making a conscious effort this year to get back into photography + bring my camera everywhere!
Wellthy
Yes that’s not a typo. This year I’m looking forward to improving my wellness + health. I combined the two words because I believe the best way to invest in yourself is by starting with your health. I started reading Body Love last year and loved how Kelly broke down the importance of living a clean, #Fab4 lifestyle. If you’ve been wanting to ease into healthier lifestyle choices, this has been my favorite guide so far!
It really helped put into perspective about what we put in our bodies and what we use as fuel. Now that I’m back home, I’ve been looking for different workout classes. I’ve gone the traditional gym route, but wanting something to mix it up. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!
Routines
Although I’ve been home for a full year now, I’m still trying to get into the swing of being back. It was hard to transition from being independent to living at home (more to come), but finding a routine helped. Last year, I took the time to just enjoy being back home and now I’m excited to find new ways to explore Fort Pierce.
Whether that’s taking advantage of our beautiful beaches and nature preserves in weekly walks or volunteering at our local Boys and Girls club, I’m excited to build a life as an adult here.

As I start to figure out what my routines will look like, I’ll make sure to share for those who may be looking for the same! One Sunday routine that I’ve loved so far is looking through my new fave book (Magnolia Table), writing my intentions for the week + a fresh mani with tea on the side!
Three hopes for the new year, three easy ways to jumpstart life. Can’t wait to share what I learn this year!
